This Cookie Policy explains how Bg Remover uses cookies and similar browser storage technologies, and the choices available to you.
1. We keep it minimal
Bg Remover is designed to run almost entirely in your browser. We don't use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking pixels, or third-party marketing trackers. The storage we do use is limited to making the Service work well for you.
2. What we store
- Theme preference: a small entry in your browser's local storage remembers whether you prefer light or dark mode, so you don't have to reselect it every visit.
- Session state: temporary, in-memory data used while you're actively uploading or editing an image. This is not persisted after you close the tab.
None of this data is sent to advertisers, and we don't use it to build a profile of you.
3. Third-party resources
To power features like AI background removal, the Service loads a machine-learning model and supporting scripts from a content delivery network at run time. These requests are needed for the tool to function and are not used for tracking.
4. Managing storage in your browser
You can clear cookies and local storage at any time through your browser's settings. Doing so will simply reset your theme preference back to your system default — it won't affect your images, since those are never stored on our servers to begin with.
5. Changes to this policy
If the way we use browser storage changes in the future, we'll update this page with a new "last updated" date.
