Try it →For most of photo editing's history, a clean background cutout meant either a real skill investment or a real invoice. Bg Remover closes that gap: the AI does the careful selection work for you, so anyone can get a clean result in a few seconds.
The background remover uses the open-source IMG.LY background-removal AI model, running directly in your browser. No plugins, no tutorials, no per-image fee — just an image in and a clean result out.
Precision first
Detailed cutouts, including hair.
Free by default
No paywall, no watermark.
Privacy by design
Images never leave your device.
Built for speed
Seconds, not minutes.
Pick a tool and choose an image. Nothing is uploaded — the file is read by your own browser.
The first time, your browser downloads the AI model and keeps it cached. It then processes your image locally, using your graphics card when the browser supports it.
Save the finished image in PNG, JPG or WebP. Close the tab and everything is gone — we never see or store your photos.
No sign-up and no credit card — just drop in a photo and see your cutout in seconds.
